A Concurrent Resolution honoring Chuck Norris, a
native of Ryan, Oklahoma, for his contributions to
the State of Oklahoma and the nation.

WHEREAS, Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris was born on March 10, 1940,
in Ryan, Oklahoma, and rose from humble beginnings to achieve
international recognition; and
WHEREAS, Chuck Norris served honorably in the United States Air
Force, demonstrating early his commitment to service and discipline;
and
WHEREAS, he became a world-renowned martial artist, earning
multiple championships and helping to popularize martial arts in the
United States; and
WHEREAS, Chuck Norris achieved global fame as an actor, starring
in numerous films and television series, including Walker, Texas
Ranger, becoming a cultural icon; and
WHEREAS, beyond his entertainment career, he has dedicated
significant efforts to philanthropy, including the founding of
programs that support youth development and character education; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Norris represents the values of perseverance,
integrity, and service that reflect great credit upon the State of
Oklahoma.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
OF THE 2ND SESSION OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE, THE SENATE
CONCURRING THEREIN:
THAT the Oklahoma Legislature hereby honors Chuck Norris for his
lifetime of achievement and proudly recognizes him as a
distinguished native son of Ryan, Oklahoma.
THAT the Legislature commends his contributions to the arts,
athletics, and charitable causes, and expresses appreciation for the
positive example he set for citizens of Oklahoma and beyond.
Adopted by the House of Representatives the 23rd day of March,
2026.
