HOUSE JOINT
RESOLUTION 1030 By: Munson

AS INTRODUCED

A Joint Resolution disapproving certain subject
matter standards of the Department of Education; and
directing distribution.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 11-103.6a-1 of Title 70 of the
Oklahoma Statutes, all subject matter standards and revisions to the
standards adopted by the State Board of Education are subject to
legislative review.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
AND THE SENATE OF THE 1ST SESSION OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:
SECTION 1. The Legislature hereby disapproves in whole the
social studies subject matter standards approved by the State Board
of Education on February 27, 2025.
SECTION 2. The Secretary of State is hereby directed to
distribute copies of this resolution to the Governor, the State
Department of Education, and the editor of "The Oklahoma Register".
