RESOLUTION 1060 By: Humphrey

AS INTRODUCED

A Resolution relating to impeachment; making certain
findings; calling for impeachment of Chief Justice
Dustin Rowe of the Oklahoma Supreme Court.

WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 1 and 3 of Article VIII of the
Oklahoma Constitution, articles of impeachment require approval by
the Oklahoma House of Representatives; and
WHEREAS, certain conduct by Dustin Rowe acting in his capacity
as the Chief Justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court forms the basis
for consideration of one or more articles of impeachment, including
but not limited to willful neglect of duty and corruption in office;
and
WHEREAS, the conduct is related to grand jury proceedings in
Payne County, concerning allegations of misuse of the authority of
various public officials in state government; and
WHEREAS, such conduct and failure constitute the basis for an
article of impeachment pursuant to Section 1 and 3 of Article VIII

of the Oklahoma Constitution and the enabling statutory provisions
of 51 O.S., Sections 51 et seq. of the Oklahoma Statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
OF THE 2ND SESSION OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:
THAT pursuant to Section 1 and 3 of Article VIII of the Oklahoma
Constitution and enabling statutory provisions, Dustin Rowe, Chief
Justice of the Oklahoma Supreme Court, be impeached for the conduct
and omissions as described in this resolution.
