AS INTRODUCED

An Act relating to peace officers; prohibiting
masking of identity during execution of warrant;
requiring certain court order; clarifying scope;
providing for codification; and providing an
effective date.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 211.2 of Title 22, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
A. Any peace officer of this state shall not mask his or her
identity with the use of any head or face covering while executing a
warrant without first obtaining a court order stating it is
permissible to mask the identity of the peace officer. The peace
officer shall obtain a separate court order for each warrant
execution in which the peace officer desires to mask his or her
identity.

B. For the purposes of this section, a head or face covering
shall not include protective equipment including, but not limited
to, face shields or helmets.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
