BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 120 of Title 44, unless there is
created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
A. The Military Department of the State of Oklahoma shall
establish a program to provide any eligible person or veteran of the
Oklahoma National Guard who meets the requirements set forth in
subsection B of this section a proper memorial headstone, marker, or
medallion meeting the same physical standards for size, material,
composition, placement, and informational content of the provisions
of 38 U.S.C., Section 2306 or Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for
reimbursement for a memorial headstone, marker, or medallion. The

program shall provide a burial grant for any veteran or any person
who qualifies for reimbursement, as determined by the Department.
B. To be eligible for the program, the member shall:
1. Have served six (6) or more years in the Oklahoma National
Guard;
2. Have died as a resident of this state;
3. Have been separated or discharged from service honorably or
under honorable conditions; and
4. Not qualify to receive a proper memorial headstone, marker,
or medallion pursuant to 38 U.S.C., Section 2306.
C. An application process for the implementation of this
program shall be developed by the Department.
D. The Adjutant General may promulgate any rules necessary for
the implementation of this act.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
