SENATE BILL NO. 1524 By: Pugh

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 5-107C of Title 70, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
Each public school district in this state shall post within one
click of the home page of the school district’s website the
following information:
1. The name, picture, email address, phone number, mailing
address, and a short biography for each member of the school
district’s board of education. The biography shall include the date
the member was elected to office and the date his or her term of
office expires;
2. The name, picture, email address, phone number, mailing
address, and a short biography for the school district
superintendent; and

3. The date of the next election for school district board of
education members, information on how to become a candidate, and a
map of each board district within the school district.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2026.
SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health, or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
