SENATE BILL 1756 By: Jett
AS INTRODUCED
An Act relating to education; directing public school
districts, certain institutions of higher education,
and technology center school districts to adopt
certain employment policy; providing for promulgation
of rules; providing for codification; providing an
effective date; and declaring an emergency.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1800 of Title 70, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
A. Each public school district, institution of higher education
within The Oklahoma State System of Higher Education, and technology
center school district shall adopt an employment policy that
requires individuals employed on the effective date of this act and
any individual hired on and after the effective date of this act to
sign an attestation acknowledging that the employee recognizes the
difference between male and female, as defined in Section 16 of
Title 25 of the Oklahoma Statutes.

B. The State Board of Education, the Oklahoma State Regents for
Higher Education, and the State Board of Career and Technology
Education may promulgate rules to implement the provisions of this
section.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2026.
SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health, or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
