SENATE BILL 1981 By: Logan

AS INTRODUCED

An Act relating to the Oklahoma Security Guard and
Private Investigator Act; authorizing certain uniform
use; providing for codification; and providing an
effective date.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 1750.15 of Title 59, unless
there is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
A. A person licensed as a security guard pursuant to the
Oklahoma Security Guard and Private Investigator Act or as a police
or peace officer by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and
Training who provides volunteer security services at an established
place of worship may, with the consent of the employing agency, wear
the employing agency’s uniform in the performance of such volunteer
security services.
B. A person who provides volunteer security services at an
established place of worship who is not licensed as a security guard
or police or peace officer pursuant to subsection A of this section

shall not wear a uniform or badge that gives the person the
appearance of being a licensed security guard or police or peace
officer.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
