SENATE BILL NO. 2106 By: Brooks of the Senate

and

Kannady of the House

An Act relating to cities and towns; requiring
municipalities to compensate certain property owners
in certain circumstances; providing for codification;
and providing an effective date.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 43-118 of Title 11, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
A municipality shall financially compensate the owner of a
property within such municipality if such owner demonstrates that
the municipality has used a reversion ordinance to change zoning to
a prior designation, and that reversion has resulted in a negative
financial impact on the value of such property. The municipality
shall compensate the owner the difference between the appraised
value of the property prior to and after the zoning reversion
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
