BILL NO. 2127 By: Murdock of the Senate

and

Moore of the House

An Act relating to agriculture; creating the Advisory
Council on Product Classification; providing
membership terms and duties; allowing for
reimbursement of travel expenses under the State
Travel Reimbursement Act; providing for codification;
and providing an effective date.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 2-35 of Title 2, unless there is
created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
A. There is hereby created within the Oklahoma Department of
Agriculture, Food, and Forestry, the Advisory Council on Product
Classification.
B. The Council shall serve solely in an advisory role and shall
advise and make recommendations to the Department regarding the
classification of agriculture and food products for purposes
conducted by the Department.
C. The Council shall be composed of five (5) members appointed
by the State Board of Agriculture, all of whom shall represent
interests affected by product classification. Members appointed to

the Council shall serve at the pleasure of the Board. Appointees to
the Council shall serve for a term of five (5) years. Members of
the Council shall not be compensated for their service but shall
qualify for reimbursement for travel expenses under the State Travel
Reimbursement Act.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective November 1, 2026.
