An Act
ENROLLED SENATE
BILL NO. 335 By: Green of the Senate
and
Archer of the House
An Act relating to retail electric suppliers;
prohibiting certain incentivization by suppliers to
customers; providing for codification; providing an
effective date; and declaring an emergency.
SUBJECT: Retail electric suppliers
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA:
SECTION 1. NEW LAW A new section of law to be codified
in the Oklahoma Statutes as Section 801.10 of Title 17, unless there
is created a duplication in numbering, reads as follows:
No rate-regulated retail electric supplier, as defined in
Section 158.22 of Title 17 of the Oklahoma Statutes, shall offer
ratepayer-funded incentives, rebates, or inducements to its
customers to promote the switching of fuel sources from natural gas
to electricity.
SECTION 2. This act shall become effective July 1, 2025.
SECTION 3. It being immediately necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health or safety, an emergency is hereby
declared to exist, by reason whereof this act shall take effect and
be in full force from and after its passage and approval.
