A Resolution recognizing the week of May 5 through
May 9, 2025, as Teacher Appreciation Week; and
honoring the invaluable contributions of teachers
across the State of Oklahoma.

WHEREAS, teachers are among the most influential individuals in
our society, dedicating their lives to educating, inspiring, and
shaping the future of our children and communities; and

WHEREAS, the work of teachers extends far beyond the classroom,
as they serve not only as educators but also as mentors, role
models, and supporters for their students; and

WHEREAS, teachers consistently demonstrate creativity, patience,
resilience, and a deep commitment to student success, often going
above and beyond their responsibilities to ensure each child has the
opportunity to thrive; and

WHEREAS, the State of Oklahoma values the teaching profession
and acknowledges the need for ongoing investment in education and
support for those who choose this noble career path.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE 1ST SESSION
OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE:

THAT the Oklahoma State Senate hereby recognizes and honors the
essential role teachers play in building a stronger future for
Oklahoma and the nation, and designates the week of May 5 through
May 9, 2025, as Teacher Appreciation Week in the State of Oklahoma.
