A Resolution honoring the life and legacy of Turning 8
Point USA cofounder and chief executive officer 9
Charlie Kirk. 10

WHEREAS, Charlie Kirk was a man of deep faith who desired above 13
all to be known for his relationship with Jesus Christ, letting his 14
life and work reflect that commitment; and 15
WHEREAS, he had a special calling for connecting with young 16
people, devoting his time to equipping the next generation to think 17
critically, live faithfully, and lead with courage; and 18
WHEREAS, Charlie Kirk was unafraid to step onto college campuses 19
that were not traditionally welcoming places for conservatives, 20
where he respectfully debated issues, engaged opposing views, and 21
modeled civil dialogue; and 22
WHEREAS, his example of conviction, courage, and prayerful 23
leadership has left a lasting mark on those he served and inspired; 24
and 25

WHEREAS, as our nation approaches the 250th anniversary of the 1
signing of the Declaration of Independence, we reaffirm the truth 2
that all are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable 3
rights, among them the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of 4
happiness, with the first right being life; and 5
WHEREAS, in this spirit, we call on all Oklahomans to reject 6
political violence, to remember that every life is precious, and to 7
honor the dignity of every individual, regardless of background. 8
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE 2ND SESSION 9
OF THE 60TH OKLAHOMA LEGISLATURE: 10
THAT the Oklahoma State Senate honors the life and legacy of 11
Charlie Kirk, recognizing his example of faith, leadership, and 12
devotion to America’s youth, and reaffirms our shared commitment to 13
the values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. 14
