partment for the purposes of distribution to the Oregon Arts Commission for grants to cer-
tain organizations.
Declares an emergency, effective on passage.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to the Oregon Arts Commission; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1.
In addition to and not in lieu of any other appropriation, there is appropri-
ated to the Oregon Business Development Department, for the biennium beginning July 1,
2025, out of the General Fund, the amount of $10,000,000, for the purposes of the Oregon Arts
Commission.
SECTION 2. (1) In addition to and not in lieu of any other appropriation, there is appro-
priated to the Oregon Business Development Department, for the biennium beginning July
1, 2025, out of the General Fund, the amount of $5,538,997, for distribution to the Oregon Arts
Commission for the purpose of making the following grants:
(a) $341,775 to the Oregon Ballet Theatre.
(b) $2,555,175 to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
(c) $949,375 to the Oregon Symphony.
(d) $743,298 to the Portland Art Museum.
(e) $474,687 to Portland Center Stage.
(f) $474,687 to the Portland Opera.
(2) The Oregon Arts Commission may not distribute funds from the commission’s oper-
ating support grant program to the organizations listed in subsection (1) of this section until
July 1, 2026.
SECTION 3.
This 2025 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2025 Act takes effect
on its passage.
