A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to state finance; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1.
In addition to and not in lieu of any other appropriation, there is appropri-
ated to the Department of Justice, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2025, out of the Gen-
eral Fund, the amount of $18,500,000, which may be expended for backfilling reductions in
federal Victims of Crime Act grants.
SECTION 2. In addition to and not in lieu of any other appropriation, there is appropri-
ated to the Department of Justice, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2025, out of the Gen-
eral Fund, the amount of $3,000,000, which may be expended for distribution to the Oregon
CASA Network for providing services to victims of crime that could be supported through
federal Victims of Crime Act grants.
SECTION 3. This 2025 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2025 Act takes effect
on its passage.
