A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to individual development accounts; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1.
The Individual Development Account Fund is established in the State
Treasury, separate and distinct from the General Fund. The Individual Development Account
Fund consists of moneys deposited in the fund under section 2 of this 2025 Act and all other
moneys appropriated, allocated, deposited or transferred to the fund by the Legislative As-
sembly or otherwise. Interest earned by the fund shall be credited to the fund. Moneys in the
fund are continuously appropriated to the Housing and Community Services Department for
purposes of carrying out the provisions of ORS 458.675 to 458.700.
SECTION 2. Each calendar quarter, the amount of $2,500,000 is allocated from the Ad-
ministrative Services Economic Development Fund to the Housing and Community Services
Department for deposit in the Individual Development Account Fund established under sec-
tion 1 of this 2025 Act.
SECTION 3. This 2025 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2025 Act takes effect
July 1, 2025.
