A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the month of August 2025 as "National Wellness
Month" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, The health and well-being of the residents of
Pennsylvania are vital to the prosperity and quality of life in
this Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, Wellness is an active process of awareness and
consistent choices toward a healthy and fulfilling life,
encompassing physical, mental and spiritual health; and
WHEREAS, Nurturing the mind, body and spirit contributes to
overall well-being and can prevent the onset of chronic diseases
and other health conditions; and
WHEREAS, Healthy eating plays a crucial role in maintaining
optimal health, providing essential nutrients that support
bodily functions and reduce the risk of disease; and
WHEREAS, Engaging in regular physical activity, practicing
mindfulness, fostering social connections and adhering to a

balanced diet are integral components of a holistic approach to
wellness; and
WHEREAS, "National Wellness Month" is observed annually in
August to promote and encourage healthy habits that can lead to
a more balanced and fulfilling life; and
WHEREAS, Recognizing the month of August 2025 as "National
Wellness Month" in Pennsylvania raises awareness about the
importance of comprehensive wellness practices and encourages
residents to take proactive steps toward improving their health;
therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
month of August 2025 as "National Wellness Month" in
Pennsylvania; and be it further
RESOLVED, That residents of this Commonwealth be encouraged
to focus on nurturing their mind, body and spirit through
activities, including healthy eating, regular physical exercise,
stress management and engaging in community and social
activities; and be it further
RESOLVED, That employers, health care providers, educators
and community organizations be urged to promote resources and
programs that support comprehensive wellness initiatives
throughout the month of August and beyond.
