A RESOLUTION
Designating June 24, 2025, as "Universal Day of the Romanian
Blouse" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, There are more than 167,000 Romanian immigrants
living in the United States; and
WHEREAS, More than 4,200 Romanian immigrants reside in this
Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, The traditional Romanian blouse holds profound
cultural significance as an iconic symbol of Romanian heritage
and craftsmanship; and
WHEREAS, The Romanian blouse represents centuries of
tradition, artistry and cultural identity of the Romanian
people; and
WHEREAS, Designating a specific day to honor the Romanian
blouse provides an opportunity for residents of this
Commonwealth to commemorate and showcase this integral part of
Romanian culture; and
WHEREAS, It is essential to recognize and celebrate the

cultural diversity of this Commonwealth and its residents; and
WHEREAS, The first "Universal Day of the Romanian Blouse" was
designated on June 24, 2013, by the online community La Blouse
Roumaine; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate June
24, 2025, as "Universal Day of the Romanian Blouse" in
Pennsylvania.
