A RESOLUTION
Designating July 31, 2025, as "Intern Day" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania recognizes the
positive impact that experiential learning has on preparing
students for success in life; and
WHEREAS, All students within this Commonwealth should have
access to experiential learning opportunities; and
WHEREAS, Experiential learning opportunities, including work-
based learning are important to the economic vitality of this
Commonwealth and its communities; and
WHEREAS, Work-based learning serves to connect students'
skills and competencies gained from education with those used in
the workplace; and
WHEREAS, There are more than 80 career and technical centers
across this Commonwealth which help provide students with
workplace skills, helping them gain placement in internships and
the workforce; and
WHEREAS, On the last Thursday in July, "National Intern Day"

is celebrated across the country by millions of students, higher
education institutions, employers and other organizations; and
WHEREAS, In recognition of "National Intern Day,"
Pennsylvania is committed to elevating awareness, advancing
meaningful and diverse work-based learning opportunities and
acknowledging the students, educational institutions and
employers involved in internships in Pennsylvania; and
WHEREAS, The Commonwealth recognizes the importance of
internships and strives to be the best place to live, work and
raise a family; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate July
31, 2025, as "Intern Day" in Pennsylvania.
