A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the month of June 2025 as "Caribbean-American
Heritage Month."
WHEREAS, In 2006, the President of the United States signed
the first proclamation recognizing June as "Caribbean-American
Heritage Month" in the United States; and
WHEREAS, Our nation thrives from the contributions of
Caribbean Americans, who enrich our society and add to the
strength of our nation; and
WHEREAS, Caribbean Americans have been leaders in government,
sports, entertainment, the arts and many other fields; and
WHEREAS, Our great Commonwealth thrives from the
contributions of Caribbean Americans; and
WHEREAS, During the month of June and through the remainder
of the year, the residents of Pennsylvania should honor the
friendship between our Commonwealth, our nation and the
Caribbean countries; and
WHEREAS, With common values and history, we celebrate the

rich Caribbean heritage and the many contributions of Caribbean
Americans; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
month of June 2025 as "Caribbean-American Heritage Month."
