A RESOLUTION
Authorizing the sale of property known as the Clearfield
Location of Commonwealth University, located at 201
University Drive, in the Borough of Clearfield, Clearfield
County.
WHEREAS, On February 12, 2026, the Board of Governors of
Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education (PASSHE)
approved a request from Commonwealth University of PASSHE to
dispose of the property, subject to notification of and
favorable resolution from the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS, The university acquired the property in 2001; and
WHEREAS, The university has assessed the physical space as
part of financial sustainability planning; and
WHEREAS, The facility is not in use and is not required for
future university needs; and
WHEREAS, The property totals approximately 67.517 acres and
consists of two buildings totaling 92,373 square feet; and
WHEREAS, One building, Founders Hall, was built in 2001 and
is 49,163 square feet, and the second building is the Health
Annex and consists of 43,210 square feet; and

WHEREAS, The property is recorded in Clearfield County,
Parcel 1, Deed Instrument Number 200518423, building and 18.459
acres, Parcels 4 and 5, Deed Instrument Number 200319207, 10
acres and 39.058 acres titled to Lock Haven University of
Pennsylvania of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher
Education, now recognized as Commonwealth University, Lock Haven
Campus; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That State System of Higher Education Property
Request No. 1 of 2026, transmitted by the State System of Higher
Education under section 2018-A of the act of March 10, 1949
(P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, to the
General Assembly under date of March 12, 2026, be approved by
the House of Representatives authorizing the sale of property
known as the Clearfield Location of Commonwealth University,
located at 201 University Drive, in the Borough of Clearfield,
Clearfield County.
