A RESOLUTION
Designating February 9 through 15, 2025, as "Future Business
Leaders of America (FBLA) Week" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Future Business Leaders of America, Inc., (FBLA) is
a nonprofit educational organization that inspires and prepares
students to become community-minded business leaders in a global
society through relevant career preparation and leadership
experiences; and
WHEREAS, The first Pennsylvania FBLA chapter was established
at Blairsville High School on March 22, 1943; and
WHEREAS, Lehigh Career and Technical Institute officially
chartered its FBLA local chapter on January 24, 2000; and
WHEREAS, FBLA includes more than 230,000 members and advisers
in 4,600 chapters nationwide in middle schools, high schools,
colleges, universities, career and technical schools and private
business schools; and
WHEREAS, FBLA members believe that education is the right of
every person to develop a future that depends on mutual
understanding and cooperation among business, industry, labor,

religious, family and educational institutions, as well as
people around the world; and
WHEREAS, FBLA members believe that every person has the right
to earn a living at a useful occupation while actively working
toward improving social, political, community and family life;
and
WHEREAS, FBLA teaches middle school, high school and college
students basic business and leadership principles, assists them
in the transition from school to work and teaches responsibility
for carrying out assigned tasks in a manner that brings credit
to self, associates, school and community; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate
February 9 through 15, 2025, as "Future Business Leaders of
America (FBLA) Week" in Pennsylvania.
