A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Super Bowl LIX Champions, the 2025 Philadelphia
Eagles, and recognizing the Philadelphia Eagles as one of the
greatest football teams ever to represent this Commonwealth
on the field.
WHEREAS, On February 9, 2025, the 2025 Philadelphia Eagles,
representing the pride of 1.6 million Philadelphians, 13 million
Pennsylvanians and millions more fans worldwide, emerged
victorious in Super Bowl LIX; and
WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Eagles soundly defeated the Kansas
City Chiefs with a decisive victory of 40 to 22, showcasing
remarkable strategy, peerless planning and world-class
athleticism; and
WHEREAS, The offense, defense and special teams of the
Philadelphia Eagles displayed unparalleled ability and dominance
over their opponents during the 2025 NFL playoffs, achieving the
highest scoring record of any postseason team in NFL history;
and

WHEREAS, Through their monumental achievements, the
Philadelphia Eagles became NFC East Champions, NFC Champions
and Super Bowl LIX Champions; and
WHEREAS, Beyond their exemplary athleticism and organization
on the field, the Philadelphia Eagles demonstrated exemplary
character off the field, serving as a pillar of the community,
role models for children and a consistent source of pride for
all people who call the City of Philadelphia and this
Commonwealth home; and
WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Eagles organization and players
have recognized and honored the importance of their positions by
uplifting schools, raising essential conversations around mental
health and showing deep compassion whenever the City of
Philadelphia faces hard times; and
WHEREAS, Through heartbreak and triumph, the City of
Philadelphia has always found community in cheering on the
Philadelphia Eagles, with parents and children making lifelong
memories together, friends bonding and strangers finding
kinship, all united in Eagles green; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate honor the Super Bowl LIX Champions,
the 2025 Philadelphia Eagles, and recognize the Philadelphia
Eagles as one of the greatest football teams ever to represent
the City of Philadelphia and this Commonwealth on the field.
