A RESOLUTION
Honoring the life, valor and sacrifice of United States Army
Specialist Krystofer Lee Lopez and expressing deepest
condolences and enduring gratitude to his family.
WHEREAS, The Senate of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
pauses in solemn remembrance to honor United States Army Private
First Class Krystofer Lee Lopez, who tragically lost his life on
March 12, 2026, during a training incident at Letterkenny Army
Depot in Chambersburg, Franklin County, while faithfully serving
his nation; and
WHEREAS, Specialist Lopez, a resident of Biglerville, Adams
County, embodied the highest ideals of patriotism and selfless
service, choosing at a young age to dedicate his life to the
defense of the United States by enlisting in the United States
Army during his junior year of high school; and
WHEREAS, During his time at Biglerville High School,
Specialist Lopez distinguished himself as a member of the
school's wrestling program, demonstrating perseverance, strength
of character and determination, qualities that would guide him
throughout his life and military service; and

WHEREAS, After graduation, Specialist Lopez further pursued
his education at Shippensburg University, continuing to prepare
himself for a future defined by responsibility, service and
leadership; and
WHEREAS, Specialist Lopez proudly served as a 31B Military
Police Officer with LEAD Directorate of Emergency Services Law
Enforcement Division, where he was assigned to the 947th
Quartermaster Company and carried out his duties with honor,
vigilance and unwavering commitment to the safety and security
of others; and
WHEREAS, The Letterkenny Army Depot community, led by
Commander Colonel Caleb Lewis, expressed profound sorrow and
heartbreak at the loss of this young soldier, recognizing
Specialist Lopez as a valued member of their team whose
dedication to the mission and to his fellow soldiers reflected
the highest standards of military service; and
WHEREAS, In recognition of his dedicated service and
sacrifice, Private First Class Lopez was posthumously promoted
to the rank of Specialist, ensuring that his service and
commitment to duty are honored and remembered; and
WHEREAS, Specialist Lopez is remembered by his loved ones as
a young man of compassion, loyalty and joy, whose twin sister,
Kiki Lopez, lovingly described him as the "greatest brother
ever," a brother who always made people laugh, who always placed
his family first and whose bright smile brought light to those
around him; and
WHEREAS, The communities of Biglerville, Adams County and
throughout this Commonwealth have come together in grief and
remembrance, offering prayers and support to the Lopez family
while honoring a young man whose life, though tragically brief,

was marked by courage, kindness and devotion to country; and
WHEREAS, Though only 18 years of age, Specialist Lopez
demonstrated a depth of character and commitment that serves as
an inspiration to all Pennsylvanians and stands as a testament
to the courage of the men and women who wear the uniform of the
United States Armed Forces; and
WHEREAS, The Senate recognizes that the freedoms and
liberties enjoyed by the residents of this Commonwealth are
secured through the service and sacrifice of brave individuals
like Specialist Lopez, whose willingness to serve and protect
reflects the noblest traditions of the United States Army and
this great Nation; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate honor the life, valor and sacrifice
of United States Army Specialist Krystofer Lee Lopez and express
deepest condolences and enduring gratitude to his family; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That the Senate express profound gratitude for
Specialist Krystofer Lee Lopez's service to our nation and
recognize that his dedication, courage and devotion to duty will
never be forgotten; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Senate extend its deepest sympathy,
heartfelt prayers and sincere condolences to the family of
Specialist Krystofer Lee Lopez, especially his twin sister, Kiki
Lopez, and to all those who loved him and mourn his loss; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That the Senate express the hope that the memory of
Specialist Krystofer Lee Lopez, his bright spirit, his
commitment to family and his unwavering service to the United
States, will forever remain a source of pride, gratitude and
inspiration to the people of this Commonwealth; and be it

RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to
the family of Specialist Krystofer Lee Lopez as an expression of
the Senate's deepest respect, enduring gratitude and solemn
remembrance of his life and sacrifice.
