Chapter 23-17.30 of the General Laws entitled "Primary Care Training Sites 2 Program" is hereby amended by adding thereto the following section: 3 23-17.30-8. Appropriation of funds. 4 (a) For the fiscal year 2026 and thereafter, the State of Rhode Island shall appropriate the 5 sum of two million seven hundred thousand dollars ($2,700,000) to the primary care training sites 6 program for the purpose of supporting its training for physicians, nurse practitioners and physician 7 assistants, established pursuant to the provisions of this chapter. 8 (b) The funds appropriated under this section shall be administered by the department of 9 health. 10 SECTION 2.
