WHEREAS, Dr. Christopher A. Campagnari, MD, received his medical degree from the
2
University of Massachusetts Medical Center, in Worcester, Massachusetts, in 1991, and
3
completed his internship and residency at the Medical Center of Beaver, Pennsylvania. Dr.
4
Campagnari is Board-Certified in Family Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American Medical
5
Academy; and
6
WHEREAS, For the past 32 years, beginning in 1994, Dr. Campagnari has served as a
7
distinguished Family Medicine Physician at Wood River Health in Hope Valley and the wider
8
community, providing high-quality primary care services on a daily basis to his patients; and
9
WHEREAS, In addition, Dr. Campagnari served as the Medical Director of Wood River
10
Health from 1998 to 2018. Under his guidance, leadership and direction, Dr. Campagnari led the
11
staff of Wood River Health through the implementation of the Electronic Health Record and
12
becoming recognized as a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home. Dr. Campagnari also
13
successfully led Wood River Health through three separate Joint Commission surveys; and
14
WHEREAS, Dr. Campagnari has also served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Brown
15
University’s Alpert School of Medicine and has served as the Chief of Pediatrics and President of
16
the Medical Staff at Westerly Hospital, as well as the Chairman of the hospital’s bylaws
17
committee. In addition, Dr. Campagnari has participated extensively in federal and state Health
18
Disparities Collaboratives resulting in both national and local acclaim and accolades; now,
19
therefore be it

RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby
2
heartily congratulates Dr. Christopher Campagnari, MD, on his retirement as a Family Medicine
3
Physician and thanks him for the 32 years of outstanding and compassionate care he provided to
4
his patients. Dr. Campagnari, MD, has made a positive difference in the lives of countless people.
5
We furthermore wish him a most happy retirement, good health and continued success in all of
6
his future endeavors; and be it further
7
RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to
8
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Dr. Christopher A. Campagnari, MD.
