WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this House has learned of the passing of Jennifer
2
Goulet from North Providence. She was the beloved wife of Michael Goulet, with whom she
3
shared twenty-seven years of marriage marked by love, partnership, and unwavering devotion.
4
Jennifer was the dedicated mother of her three sons, Connor, Noah, and Aidan, who were the
5
center of her life and her greatest pride and joy; and
6
WHEREAS, Born in South Kingstown, Jennifer Goulet was the cherished daughter of
7
Robert Cavallaro and Michelle Brousseau, and the loving sister of Annalee Cavallaro and Dr.
8
Alexandra Cavallaro. She was predeceased by her brother, Bobby Cavallaro; and
9
WHEREAS, Affectionately known within the figure skating community as “Lola
10
Goulet,” she brought warmth, style, and a vibrant spirit wherever she went, was easily recognized
11
by her signature look of flowing curls, elegant scarves, and oversized sunglasses, and will always
12
be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and the deep love she held for her friends and
13
family; and
14
WHEREAS, Deeply committed to the sport of figure skating, Jennifer contributed her
15
time and talents over many years as a member of skating clubs in New England including the
16
Yarmouth Ice Club on Cape Cod and then later the Hayden Recreation Centre Figure Skating
17
Club in Lexington, MA. She earned widespread respect for her fairness, expertise, and
18
dedication; and
19
WHEREAS, Jennifer served in numerous leadership roles, including as a National
20
Showcase Judge and Referee, a Sectional Singles and Pairs Judge and Referee, and a Gold-Level

1
Test Judge. Jennifer also generously gave her time as a leader and volunteer within regional
2
skating organizations, serving as Vice President and Secretary of the New England Interclub
3
Council and as Eastern Sanction Officer for U.S. Figure Skating. She served as Chief Referee for
4
many competitions, mentoring and helping to guide the sport with integrity and care, and
5
inspiring excellence and sportsmanship in all those she worked with; and
6
WHEREAS, Through her service, leadership, and passion, Jennifer Goulet left a lasting
7
and meaningful impact on the figure skating community and on all those fortunate enough to
8
know her; now, therefore be it
9
RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby
10
expresses its deepest condolences to the family and friends of Jennifer Goulet; and be it further
11
RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to
12
transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to the family of Jennifer Goulet.
