WHEREAS, It is with great pride that this House recognizes the Enrico Caruso Society,
2
founded in 1926 in the village of Manville, in the town of Lincoln, Rhode Island, to assist Italian
3
immigrants adjusting to life in America, provide support for families, and foster a strong sense of
4
community; and
5
WHEREAS, Over the past 100 years, the Enrico Caruso Society has functioned as a vital
6
social club and community service organization, offering assistance to its members and their
7
families through fundraisers, scholarships, food, and other support in times of need; and
8
WHEREAS, The Society has hosted numerous community events, including motorcycle
9
runs, blood drives, and social outings, bringing people together while reflecting the rich Italian-
10
American heritage of Manville Village and the Blackstone Valley; and
11
WHEREAS, The Enrico Caruso Society has evolved over time to welcome individuals of
12
all backgrounds, continuing its mission of fellowship, inclusivity, and community service; and
13
WHEREAS, On March 17, 2026, the Town Council of Lincoln, led by Town Council
14
President Keith Macksoud and Councilors Kenneth Pichette and Bruce Ogni, recognized the
15
100th Anniversary of the Enrico Caruso Society on April 18, 2026, and acknowledged its
16
enduring contributions to the cultural, social, and civic life of the community; now, therefore be it
17
RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby
18
congratulates the Enrico Caruso Society on its 100th Anniversary on April 18, 2026, commends
19
its longstanding commitment to service and community, and extends best wishes for continued

success in the years to come; and be it further
2
RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to
3
transmit a duly certified copy of this resolution to Jack Correira, President of the Enrico Caruso
4
Society in Manville, Rhode Island.
