RESOLVED, That the special legislative commission created by resolution No. 385

passed by the Senate at its January session, A.D. 2024, and approved June 13, 2024, entitled

"Senate Resolution Creating a Special Legislative Commission To Make a Comprehensive Study

of Rhode Island's Healthcare Workforce Related to Educating and Retaining Primary Care
5
Physicians and Establishing a State Medical School at the University of Rhode Island" is hereby
6
authorized to continue its study and make a report to the Senate on or before March 1, 2026, and
7
said commission shall expire on June 30, 2026; and be it further
8
RESOLVED, That the time for reporting authorized by resolution No. 385 passed by the
9
Senate at its January session, A.D. 2024, and approved June 13, 2024, be and the same is hereby
10
rescinded.

This resolution would extend the reporting and expiration dates of the special legislative

commission to study Rhode Island's Healthcare Workforce Related to Educating and Retaining

Primary Care Physicians and Establishing a State Medical School at the University of Rhode

Island from January 2, 2026, to March 1, 2026, and said commission would expire on June 30,

2026.
