EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF MARYANN JOLICOEUR

WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this Senate has learned of the passing of
2
MaryAnn Jolicoeur. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Jolicoeur for 37 years; and
3
WHEREAS, MaryAnn Jolicoeur was born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Omer
4
and Mary Binette. Mrs. Jolicoeur was a devoted wife and mother who worked tirelessly every day
5
to provide for her family and loved ones. MaryAnn served as the Public Housing Manager for the
6
Woonsocket Housing Authority for 36 years before retiring in 2017. She was proud to be the first
7
female Housing Manager in Rhode Island, where she was known for fighting vigorously in
8
support of the betterment of her tenants and the wider community; and
9
WHEREAS, In her free time, MaryAnn enjoyed bird watching, frozen margaritas on a
10
hot day, playing WORDLE, coffee and luncheons with friends, gardening, spending quality time
11
with her family and friends, and staying in touch with Woonsocket Politics; and
12
WHEREAS, MaryAnn Jolicoeur leaves behind her children, Curtis Jolicoeur and his
13
wife, Jennifer, Robyn Jolicoeur and her fiancé, Thomas Lepore, Craig Jolicoeur and his wife,
14
Erin, Caryn Beaudoin, and Kristen Charron and her husband, Eric. She also leaves behind her
15
grandchildren, Maddison, Miles, Claudia, Rain, Hannah, Gabriel, Kyle, Maya, Savana, Brooke,
16
Payton, and Lincoln. She is also survived by her sister, Constance Bousquet and her husband,
17
Richard, and she is predeceased by her sister Irene Hartnett; now, therefore be it
18
RESOLVED, That this Senate of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses its deepest
19
condolences on the passing of MaryAnn Jolicoeur; and be it further
20
RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to

transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to Curtis Jolicoeur, Robyn Jolicoeur, Craig
2
Jolicoeur, Caryn Beaudoin, and Kristen Charron.
