TO HONOR AND CONGRATULATE TOD
AUGSBURGER, PRESIDENT AND CEO OF LEXINGTON HEALTH, ON THE OCCASION OF HIS
RETIREMENT, TO EXTEND DEEP APPRECIATION FOR HIS TWENTY-SIX YEARS OF
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE, AND TO OFFER BEST WISHES FOR A SATISFYING AND REWARDING
RETIREMENT.

W
hereas, since 1999, Lexington Health, formerly Lexington Medical
Center, has enjoyed the benefit of the dedication, experience, and leadership
of Tod Augsburger, its president and CEO, who soon will retire after twenty-six
years of outstanding service. Mr. Augsburger has served as president and CEO of
Lexington Health since 2015. Previously, he served as senior vice president and
chief operating officer (1999-2015); and

W
hereas, during his tenure as president, Lexington Medical Center
became Lexington Health (2025), converted from a governmental to a private
not-for-profit healthcare system (2021), partnered with the University of South
Carolina (USC) to relocate the USC School of Nursing to West Columbia (2023),
and led significant facility additions and expansions throughout the Midlands.
Notably, he helped the organization gain recognition as a Magnet Hospital With
Distinction, as
U.S. News and World Report
's #2 hospital in South
Carolina, and as
Modern Healthcare
's #1 family-friendly healthcare
organization in America; and

W
hereas, grateful for the legacy of consistent excellence Tod
Augsburger has bestowed on this state, the people of South Carolina take great
pleasure in wishing him well as he enters retirement and trust he will find
much enjoyment in the more leisurely pace of the days ahead. Now, therefore,

hat the members of the South Carolina
House
of Representatives
, by this resolution, honor and congratulate Tod Augsburger,
president and CEO of Lexington Health, on the occasion of his retirement,
extend deep appreciation for his twenty-six years of distinguished service, and
offer best wishes for a satisfying and rewarding retirement.

e it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to
Tod Augsburger.
