RESOLUTION

TO HONOR THE SOCASTEE HIGH SCHOOL BOYS VOLLEYBALL
TEAM AND COACH ON THEIR IMPRESSIVE WIN OF THE 2025 SOUTH CAROLINA HIGH SCHOOL
LEAGUE CLASS AAAAA DIVISION II STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE AND TO SALUTE THEM ON A
FABULOUS SEASON.

W
hereas, the air on
your face and the ground under your feet feel different when you reach the top
of the mountain. The Socastee High School boys volleyball team found that out
on November 1, 2025, when the Braves knocked off rival Catawba Ridge 17-25, 25-18,
25-19, 25-22 to claim the 2025 South Carolina High School League Class AAAAA
Division II State Championship title; and

W
hereas, played at A.C.
Flora High School in Columbia, the championship game gave elated Socastee fans
the chance to see the Braves capturing their first-ever state title in boys
volleyball, a feat that wrapped up an unforgettable season and gave these athletes
the title win on their first title appearance; and

W
hereas, moreover, 2025
was only the fourth year of boys volleyball in South Carolina and just the
third year of its status as a championship sport sanctioned by the South
Carolina High School League; and

W
hereas, with
justifiable pride, Coach Gracie Hinson watched the Braves raise their new title
hardware. From the start of the competition, she knew it wasn't going to be an
easy win, but her determined players rose to the challenge and conquered; and

W
hereas, the members of
the Socastee High boys volleyball team have given their school and community
reason to be proud of their accomplishments, and the House takes great pleasure
in adding its collective voice of praise to the encomiums flowing in to this
outstanding group of young athletes. Go, Braves! Now, therefore,

B
e it resolved by the
House of Representatives
:

T
hat the members of the
South Carolina
House of Representatives
,
by this resolution, honor the Socastee High School boys volleyball team and
coach on their impressive win of the 2025 South Carolina High School League
Class AAAAA Division II State Championship title and salute them on a fabulous
season.

B

that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Jeremy Rich and Coach
Gracie Hinson of Socastee High School.
