TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR THE Lexington High School
cheer squad, COACHES, AND SCHOOL OFFICIALS FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY SEASON AND TO
CONGRATULATE THEM FOR WINNING THE 2025 SOUTH CAROLINA CLASS AAAAA Division I
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE.

W
hereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that the members of the
Lexington High cheer squad captured the state title at the state competition
held at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia on November 22, 2025; and

W
hereas, to the cheers
of their spirited fans, the Lexington Wildcat cheerleaders defeated a
competitive group of rivals with a score of 329.5. This marked the program's
fourth state title in just six years; and

W
hereas, the Wildcats'
victory was made all the sweeter when all three teams on the podium in Division
I competition represented Lexington County Schools as River Bluff finished
second and Dutch Fork placed third, and Irmo was fourth in Class AAAAA Division
II; and

W
hereas, in a sport
that exacts precision, poise, and power, Head Coach Leigh Watson and her
skilled coaching staff capitalized on their own athletic ability and training
to hone yet another championship-caliber team and teach these athletes life
principles that will endure beyond the mats; and

W
hereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives values the pride and recognition that the Lexington
cheerleaders have consistently brought to their school and their community, and
the members look forward to following their continued accomplishments in the
days ahead. Now, therefore,

House of Representatives

hat the members of the
South Carolina
House of Representatives
,
by this resolution, recognize and honor the Lexington High School cheer squad,
coaches, and school officials for an extraordinary season and congratulate them
for winning the 2025 South Carolina Class AAAAA Division I State Championship
title.

B
e it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Jennifer McNair and
Coach Leigh Watson.
