TO RECOGNIZE AND
HONOR DRAPER G. MYERS, OWNER AND OPERATOR OF DRAPER G. MYERS MORTUARY, LLC, IN
FLORENCE, AND TO CONGRATULATE HIM ON THE OPENING OF ANOTHER MORTUARY IN LAKE
CITY.

W
hereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that Draper G. Myers
Mortuary, LLC, is celebrating the opening of a mortuary in Lake City, its second
location; and

W
hereas, Draper G.
Myers Mortuary, LLC, was founded by Draper G. Myers following his acquisition
of the property at 615 South Dargan Street in Florence and the official opening
of the funeral home and cremation services on December 14, 2021, with the
ribbon cutting being held on Thursday, January 27, 2022; and

W
hereas, Mr. Myers has
been involved in the funeral business since he was about twelve years old. His desire
to become a mortician began in high school during a career day at Hannah Pamplico
High School, and he has had a long-standing dedication to the profession; and

W
hereas, from its
founding, Draper G. Myers Mortuary, LLC, has emphasized compassionate,
personalized funeral and memorial services that support families with funeral
planning, burials, cremation options, preplanning arrangements, and grief
resources; and

W
hereas, Draper G.
Myers Mortuary, LLC, serves Florence County and surrounding areas with
dignified funeral, memorial, and cremation services, and is known locally for
its attentive staff and family-centered care; and

W
hereas, Mr. Myers has
opened a second location in the town of Lake City, located at 996 East Main
Street, where staff will be proud to serve Lake City and the surrounding
communities with compassion and care; and

W
hereas, he is married
to his beloved wife, Shametra Swaringer-Myers, and he is the proud father of
Draper Myers Jr. and Kennedy Myers. Now, therefore,

e it resolved by the
House of Representatives
:

T
hat the members of the
South Carolina
House of Representatives
,
by this resolution, recognize and honor Draper G. Myers, owner and operator of Draper
G. Myers Mortuary, LLC, in Florence, and congratulate him on the opening of
another mortuary in Lake City.

e it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to Draper G. Myers.
