A concurrent RESOLUTION
TO CONGRATULATE THE FORTY-SEVEN TECHNICAL COLLEGE
STUDENTS NAMED TO SOUTH CAROLINA'S 2026 ALL-STATE ACADEMIC TEAM BY THE PHI
THETA KAPPA HONOR SOCIETY IN RECOGNITION OF THEIR SCHOLARLY ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND
SERVICE TO THEIR COMMUNITIES.
W
hereas, the members of the General Assembly
acknowledge the forty-seven members of South Carolina's 2026 All-State Academic
Team; and
W
hereas, these outstanding students from South
Carolina's technical colleges were chosen for this honor by the technical
college presidents because of academic performance, leadership accomplishments,
and service to their colleges and local communities; and
W
hereas, the All-State Academic Team competition is
sponsored by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society to bring national and statewide
recognition to outstanding technical college, community college, and junior
college students; and
W
hereas, these students were South Carolina's
representatives in the All-USA Academic Team competition sponsored by the Phi
Theta Kappa Honor Society; and
W
hereas, their outstanding records make them worthy
representatives of this State and are a reason for pride in their
accomplishments that can be shared not only by them and their families, but all
South Carolinians; and
W
hereas, it is appropriate for members of the General
Assembly to pause in their deliberations so that they may add their voices to
the chorus of congratulations to these outstanding South Carolina technical
college students. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved
by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the
members of the General Assembly, by this resolution, congratulate the
forty-seven technical college students named to South Carolina's 2026 All-State
Academic Team by the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society in recognition of their
scholarly accomplishments and service to their communities.
Be it further
resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to each member of the
South Carolina 2026 All-State Academic Team.
