TO CONGRATULATE THE DORMAN HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS
VOLLEYBALL TEAM, COACHES, AND SCHOOL OFFICIALS FOR AN OUTSTANDING SEASON AND TO
HONOR THEM FOR WINNING THE SOUTH CAROLINA CLASS AAAAA-DIVISION 1 STATE
CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE.
W
hereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to recognize the Dorman High
School girls volleyball team for winning the South Carolina Class AAAAA-Division
1 State Championship on November 8, 2025; and
W
hereas, under the
visionary leadership of Head Coach Paula Kirkland and her dedicated coaching
staff, the team compiled an impressive overall record of 30-6, demonstrating
discipline, determination, and an unwavering commitment to excellence
throughout the season; and
W
hereas, to the delight
of their loyal and enthusiastic supporters, the Dorman Cavaliers defeated an
outstanding River Bluff Gators team in a best three-out-of-five match, winning
the second (25-23), fourth (25-21), and final (15-13) sets, a hard-fought
championship victory that stands as a resounding testament to the team's
perseverance, teamwork, and exemplary sportsmanship; and

hereas, this
achievement marks the Cavaliers' seventeenth state championship, the second title
of the Class AAAAA Division 1 era, and the program's third consecutive state
championship, as the team concluded the season with a perfect 14-0 region
record and an overall record of 30-6; and
W
hereas, the Dorman volleyball
team was led by eight outstanding seniors, Grace America, Ramsey Larke
Chastain, Katherine Colwell, Maggie Helle, Mackenzie Maughon, Meg Rousseau, Reese
Shugart, and Chelsea Zikusooka, along with teammates Millie America, Kesley
Caldwell, Lila Davis, Ashley Farley, Harper Flynn, Launa Foster, Camille
Griffin, Kenzie Hang, Ella Ryan, Sydney Watt, and Heidi Zunker; and

hereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives takes great pride in honoring these
exceptional student-athletes, who have brought distinction to their school and
community through their remarkable performance, and the members look forward
with confidence to the team's continued success in the years ahead. Now, therefore,

by this resolution, congratulate the Dorman High School girls volleyball team,
coaches, and school officials for an outstanding season and honor them for
winning the South Carolina Class AAAAA-Division 1 State Championship title.

that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Bryant Roberson and
Head Coach Paula Kirkland.
