RESOLUTION

TO DECLARE MARCH 9-13, 2026, AS BETA CLUB WEEK IN
SOUTH CAROLINA and to ENCOURAGE ALL CITIZENS OF THE PALMETTO STATE TO LEARN
MORE ABOUT, AND SUPPORT, THE NATIONAL BETA CLUB, WHOSE MEMBERS ARE PREPARING
THEMSELVES TO BE BETTER, MORE RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS AS THEY PROVIDE MEANINGFUL
SERVICE TO THEIR respective SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITies.

W
hereas, the largest
student academic organization in the nation, the National Beta Club will
observe March 9-13, 2026, as National Beta Club Week. In keeping with the
national observance, it is entirely appropriate that this week should also be
observed in the State of South Carolina; and

W
hereas, the members of
the Muller Road Middle School Beta Club in Richland County School District Two
are part of a national organization of more than five hundred thousand students
from fourth- through twelfth-grade; and

W
hereas, these students
are dedicated to serving in their schools and communities as they live out
their organization's motto, "Let us lead by serving others"; and

W
hereas, the National
Beta Club promotes the development of student leaders by striving for
excellence in academics, service, character, and leadership; and

W
hereas, in striving
for such excellence, the members of the Muller Road Middle School Beta Club
provide service that has a positive impact on their community and its citizens.
Now, therefore,

e it resolved by the
House of Representatives
:

T
hat the members of the
South Carolina
House of Representatives
,
by this resolution, declare March 9-13, 2026, as Beta Club Week in South
Carolina and encourage all citizens of the Palmetto State to learn more about,
and support, the national Beta Club, whose members are preparing themselves to
be better, more responsible citizens as they provide meaningful service to their
respective schools and communities.

e it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Muller Road Middle School
Beta Club.
