RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR THE Bamberg-Ehrhardt High
School varsity football TEAM, COACHES, AND SCHOOL OFFICIALS FOR A STELLAR
SEASON AND TO CONGRATULATE THEM FOR WINNING THE 2025 SOUTH CAROLINA CLASS A
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE.

W
hereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that the members of the
Bamberg-Ehrhardt football team of Bamberg County won the state championship
game held in Orangeburg on Friday, December 5, 2025; and

W
hereas, to the delight
of their exuberant fans, the Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders defeated the Lamar
High School Silver Foxes 35-21 to take their first state trophy since 1990, a
thirty-five-year struggle for a comeback; and

W
hereas, Lamar was on
the scoreboard first, taking a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. The Red Raiders
took the lead when Bamberg-Ehrhardt's Jalen McGraw made a rushing touchdown in
the second quarter. When the teams headed to the lockers at halftime, the
Raiders had a 14-13 lead; and

W
hereas, in the second
half, Bamberg-Ehrhardt held the lead, outscoring Lamar 21-8. Red Raiders
quarterback Brian McMillan had two rushing touchdowns in the game, including a
13-yard scramble to bring the lead to 28-13. He threw for two more in the
championship game; and

W
hereas, Bamberg-Ehrhardt
finished with a perfect 15-0 record for the 2025 season. The 2025 state win is
the second in the program's history; and

W
hereas, in a sport
that demands fortitude, strength, and practiced skills, Head Coach Corey Crosby
and his dedicated coaching staff maximized their own athletic ability and
training to forge a championship-caliber team and teach these athletes life
principles that will endure beyond the gridiron; and

W
hereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives values the pride and recognition that the Bamberg-Ehrhardt
football players have brought to their school and their community, and the
members look forward to hearing of their continued accomplishments in the days
ahead. Now, therefore,

e it resolved by the
House of Representatives
:

hat the members of the
South Carolina
House of Representatives
,
by this resolution, recognize and honor the Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School varsity
football team, coaches, and school officials for a stellar season and
congratulate them for winning the 2025 South Carolina Class A State
Championship title.

B
e it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Jordan D. Smith and
Coach Corey Crosby.
