W
hereas, the members of
the South Carolina House of Representatives were pleased to hear that at the
2026 South Carolina Dance Association (SCDA) State Dance Team Championship, on
February 21, 2026, in Rock Hill, Taylor Rivers of the River Bluff High School
Gator Dance Team was named the High School Solo State Champion; and
W
hereas, Miss Rivers, a
freshman on the varsity Gator dance team, competed against over thirty of the
top soloists in South Carolina. She won with a remarkable score of 280, besting
second place by 1.5 points. This win is a testament to her hard work and
dedication. She has put in countless hours of practice to perfect her technique
while working toward this state championship title. This outstanding
accomplishment brings honor and distinction to her team, school, and community;
and
W
hereas, the River
Bluff Gator Dance Team had an impressive performance at the 2026 SCDA State

Solo State Champion Kylie Vaughan, place in the top ten; and
