HONOR THE WOODMONT HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS VARSITY VOLLEYBALL TEAM, COACHES, AND
SCHOOL OFFICIALS FOR AN OUTSTANDING SEASON AND TO CONGRATULATE THEM UPON
WINNING THE 2025 SOUTH CAROLINA CLASS AAAAA, DIVISION 2 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

hereas, the members of
the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to learn that the Woodmont
High School girls volleyball team claimed the 2025 South Carolina Class AAAAA,
Division 2 State Championship title at the state tournament held at Dreher High
School in Columbia on Thursday, November 6, 2025; and

W
hereas, to the delight
of their faithful fans, the Woodmont Lady Wildcats defeated a fine, competitive
field of rivals and swept the North Myrtle Beach High School Chiefs in a
thrilling five-set match to secure the program's first state championship title
and the school's first state championship in any sport since 1979; and

W
hereas, in a sport demanding
exceptional precision, coordination, and teamwork, Head Coach Haleigh Horgan
and her dedicated coaching staff skillfully developed a championship-caliber
team, instilling in these student athletes discipline, perseverance, and
leadership qualities that will serve them well both on and off the court; and

W
hereas, the members of
the South Carolina House of Representatives commend the Woodmont volleyball
players for the pride and distinction they have brought to their school and
community and look forward with confidence to their continued success in the
years ahead. Now, therefore,

South Carolina
House of Representatives
,
by this resolution, recognize and honor the Woodmont High School girls varsity
volleyball team, coaches, and school officials for an outstanding season and
congratulate them upon winning the 2025 South Carolina Class AAAAA, Division 2
State Championship title.

e it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Melissa Patterson,
Athletic Director Chris Carter, and Coach Haleigh Horgan.
