RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND
HONOR THE FORT MILL HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING TEAM FOR A STELLAR SEASON AND TO
CONGRATULATE THE YELLOW JACKETS ON WINNING THE 2026 CLASS AAAAA DIVISION II
STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE.

W
hereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that the members of the
Fort Mill High School wrestling team captured the Class AAAAA Division II top
prize at this year's state tournament, held at White Knoll High School in
Lexington on Wednesday, February 11, 2026; and

W
hereas, to the cheers
of their delighted fans, the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets won with a dominant 52-11
decision against Lugoff-Elgin to claim their fourth consecutive state wrestling
crown; and

W
hereas, moreover, the
Yellow Jackets finished the season with a perfect 31-0 record, marking their
second straight undefeated season, and this new 2026 championship extended the
program's winning streak to 67 consecutive dual matches, the longest active
streak in South Carolina; and

W
hereas, during the
finals, Peter Escudero (106 pounds) clinched the team title with a 19-4
technical fall; Lincoln Greene (157 pounds) secured a 16-0 technical fall,
ending his career with four championship rings; Luke Van Beynum (120 pounds)
recorded a pin in just 18 seconds; and Krystian Villatoro (heavyweight) added a
first-period pin to bolster the score; and

W
hereas, under Head
Coach Adam Marullo, the team has lost only three dual matches over the last
four years. Following the team championship, Fort Mill also won the 5A Division
II Upper State Individual Tournament with 246.5 points, qualifying twelve wrestlers
for the individual state tournament. At the individual state tournament,
Lincoln Greene was crowned 2026 150 Pounds Class AAAAA State Champion; and

hereas, clearly, Fort
Mill has firmly established a wrestling dynasty in the Palmetto State; and

W
hereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives appreciates the pride and recognition the
Fort Mill wrestlers have brought to their school and community, and the members
look forward to following their continued achievements in the days ahead. Go,
Yellow Jackets! Now, therefore,

hat the members of the
South Carolina
House of Representatives
,
by this resolution, recognize and honor the Fort Mill High School wrestling
team for a stellar season and congratulate the Yellow Jackets on winning the
2026 Class AAAAA Division II State Championship title.

e it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to Principal Zachary D. Beam and
Head Coach Adam Marullo of Fort Mill High School.
