RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND
HONOR THE WEST FLORENCE HIGH SCHOOL LADIES TENNIS TEAM, COACHES, AND SCHOOL
OFFICIALS FOR A REMARKABLE SEASON AND TO CONGRATULATE THEM FOR WINNING THE 2025
SOUTH CAROLINA CLASS AAAAA DIVISION II STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE.

W
hereas, the South

Florence tennis team captured the state title at the tournament held at the Cayce
Tennis and Fitness Center on Saturday, November 8, 2025; and

W
hereas, to the delight
of their faithful fans, the West Florence Lady Knights defeated a field of competitive
rivals to reach the final game of the season and to win the first state trophy
in the program's history against T.L. Hanna High School by a score of 4-2 and finished
the season with a 23-l record; and

W

included Shelby White who was named the 2025 Class 5A/4A Individual State

contributions have extended far beyond competition. They have engaged in
community outreach efforts, such as student government, National Honor Society,

and reflect values that align with the spirit of public service and civic
engagement; and

through
rigorous training
to hone a
championship-caliber team and teach these athletes lessons that will prove
invaluable through life both on and off the tennis court; and

W
hereas, the South
