RESOLUTION

To honor and recognize the Pineview Diamond Youth
Coach Pitch baseball team and coaches on a remarkable season and to congratulate
them on representing South Carolina and winning the 2025 Diamond Youth Baseball
Division II 8U Coach Pitch World Series Championship.

W
hereas, the members of
the South Carolina House of Representatives were delighted to hear that,
representing South Carolina, the Pineview Diamond Youth Coach Pitch baseball
team won the 2025 Diamond Youth Baseball Division II 8U World Series
Championship, held in Dunn, North Carolina; and

W
hereas, the Diamond
Youth Baseball Pineview Coach Pitch team is made up of a talented group of
seven- and eight-year-olds that included Landry Marchant, Lucas Ward, Luke
Faulkenberry, Grayson Thomas, Hank Brurok, Christian Zaengle, Lukas Waters,
Noah Lawson, Tyler Olson, Daxton Lloyd, Hunter Mackles and Brayden Lodge. This
past season, they rallied behind the saying "Find a Way," determined, no matter
what, to find a way to win it all. They put in countless hours of hard work,
practicing four or five days a week in the heat of the summer. Their hard work
paid off with an impressive 18-0 record over three tournaments to be crowned
Diamond Youth Baseball Division II 8U World Series Champions; and

W
hereas, these young
athletes were led to the Diamond Youth Baseball Division II 8U World Series win
by a talented and dedicated coaching staff made up of Brandon Marchant, Mike
Marsh, Joey Brurok, Chris Waters, Matt Lloyd, and Dale Ward. The lessons that
this skilled coaching staff have taught their team will continue to shape them
on and off the field; and

W
hereas, on Thursday,
June 12, 2025, the team traveled to Gaston to play Gaston's Division II Coach
Pitch team in the District 4 Championship game. Showing up with an excellent
defensive performance, they clinched the District 4 Championship title with a
10-0 victory. They finished the district tournament 5-0 scoring 60 runs while
only allowing eight runs; and

W
hereas, next they
competed in the Diamond Youth Baseball South Carolina Division II Coach Pitch
State Tournament in Orangeburg. On the opening Saturday of the state
tournament, the Pineview Coach Pitch team went 2-0 with a combined score of
37-3. On Sunday, Pineview faced off against Lower Florence, coming out on top
15-0. On Monday, Pineview played Hartsville National, coming away with a 16-1
victory, which led them to play Saluda in a night-cap. It was a battle of two
great teams with Pineview coming away with a 7-1 victory, advancing them to the
2025 Diamond Youth Baseball South Carolina Division II State Championship game
and a rematch with Lower Florence. Pineview came out on top with an 11-6
victory, finishing the state tournament 6-0, scoring 86 runs and allowing 11.
This win secured the team's chance to represent the State of South Carolina in
the 2025 Diamond Youth Baseball Division II 8U World Series; and

W
hereas, team South
Carolina traveled to Dunn, North Carolina, to play in the World Series, playing
tremendous defense throughout its seven games against Mississippi, Virginia (3
games), North Carolina, Louisiana, and Florida. In the tournament, they allowed
only 15 runs, and went 7-0, capturing the 2025 Diamond Youth Baseball Division
II 8U World Series Championship. With this victory, Team South Carolina secured
the first Coach Pitch World Series Championship in program history for Pineview
Diamond Youth Baseball; and

W
hereas, the members of
the South Carolina House of Representatives value the pride and recognition
that the Pineview Diamond Youth Coach Pitch baseball team has brought to the
Pineview Diamond Youth Baseball program, their community, and the State of
South Carolina. The members look forward to hearing of these young athletes
future achievements in the days to come. Now, therefore,
