RESOLUTION
TO CELEBRATE THE CHESNEE HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITIVE
CHEER SQUAD, ITS COACHES, AND SCHOOL OFFICIALS FOR A STELLAR SEASON AND TO
CONGRATULATE THEM ON WINNING THE 2025 CLASS AAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE.
W
hereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that the members of the
Chesnee High School competitive cheer squad took top honors at the state cheer
competition, held at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia on Saturday, November 22,
2025; and
W
hereas, to the delight
of their exuberant fans, the Chesnee High Lady Eagles bested all comers to earn
the state title with a score of 286.5 points, leaving behind their nearest
opponent, Mid-Carolina, as a distant second; and
W
hereas, further, with their
back-to-back wins in 2024 and 2025, the Lady Eagles extended their championship
total by making it the team's sixth state triumph overall. The Lady Eagles were
runners-up for the state title in 2022 and 2023; and
W
hereas, in a sport
that requires precision, grace, and strength, Head Coach Allie Tyner and
Assistant Coaches Jada Churchill, Karli Nunnery, and McKenzie Scruggs
capitalized on their own experience and passion to shape a champions
hip-caliber team. Together, they taught their athletes
lessons that will prove invaluable throughout life, both on and off the mats;
and
W
hereas, the members of
the South Carolina House of Representatives appreciate the pride and
recognition the Chesnee cheerleaders have brought to their school and community
and look to hear of their continued achievements in the days ahead. Now,
therefore,
B
