RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR Spencer Edward Price OF Lexington
County FOR HIS NOTEWORTHY ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA AND TO
CONGRATULATE HIM UPON ACHIEVING THE PRESTIGIOUS RANK OF EAGLE SCOUT, THE
HIGHEST AWARD IN SCOUTING.

W
hereas, the members of
the South Carolina House of Representatives are pleased to learn that Spencer
Edward Price of Troop 425 in the Boy Scouts of America sponsored by Zion
Lutheran Church in Lexington has successfully completed the requirements for
the rank of Eagle Scout and will receive the award on Sunday, May 17, 2026; and

W
hereas, to earn the
rank of Eagle Scout, a Boy Scout must demonstrate that he lives by the
principles of the Scout Oath and Law in his daily life; he must plan, develop,
and give leadership to others in a service project helpful to any religious
institution, any school, or his community; and he must earn a total of twenty-one
merit badges, actively serve in a position of responsibility within his troop
for six months, take part in a Scoutmaster conference, and successfully
complete an Eagle Scout board of review; and

W
hereas, for his Eagle
Scout project, Spencer and his troop built four portable showers that will
accommodate eight people at a time for Camp Adam Fisher, a camp for children
with diabetes. Spencer used remaining donations from the project for Camp Adam
Fisher to fund various needs at the summer camp; and

W
hereas, only a small
percentage of Boy Scouts complete these rigorous requirements to achieve the
coveted rank of Eagle Scout. The Eagle rank has been awarded to over 2.5
million Scouts since the founding of the organization in the early 1900s, and
for more than a century, it has shaped future leaders of America by combining
educational activities with lifelong values and fun; and

W
hereas, Spencer's
father, Joel Zenan Price Jr., his grandfather Joel Zenan Price, and his brother
Jackson Zenan Price are all Eagle Scouts, making Spencer a third-generation
Eagle Scout; and

W
hereas, the members of
the South Carolina House of Representatives are grateful for the legacy of
Scouting in America and take great pride in acknowledging the accomplishments
of young South Carolinians, like Spencer Price, who selflessly give of their time,
talents, and energy to enrich their local communities and our State. Now, therefore,

House of Representatives
,
by this resolution, recognize and honor Spencer Edward Price of Lexington
County for his noteworthy achievements in the Boy Scouts of America and
congratulate him upon achieving the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, the
highest award in Scouting.

e it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to Spencer Edward Price.
