TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR JONATHAN C. Childers, A
FOURTH-YEAR ELECTRICAL APPRENTICE WITH THE CHARLESTON ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS'
ASSOCIATION AND TO CONGRATULATE HIM ON RECEIVING FIRST PLACE IN THE 2026 ABC
NATIONAL CRAFT CHAMPIONSHIPS.

W
hereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that Jonathan Childers
took top honors at the 2026 ABC National Craft Championships in Salt Lake City,
Utah; and

W
hereas, Mr. Childers
is the third person from South Carolina to win this prestigious competition. This
was the second time in a row that the Charleston Electrical Contractors
Association won on a national level. Mr. Childers was chosen from among two
hundred representing twelve crafts throughout the United States; and

W
hereas, born in San
Diego, California, he left when he was seven years old and graduated from James
F. Byrnes High School in Duncan in 2008; and

W
hereas, Mr. Childers,
a resident of Summerville, is a fourth-year apprentice in the Charleston
Electrical Contractors Association and has been employed as an electrician with
Transworld since 2021; and

W
hereas, together with
his beloved wife, Tabetha, he enjoys building and painting model aircrafts, as
well as spending time with his family; and

W
hereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives appreciates the standard of excellence that
Jonathan Childers has set in his profession, and the members congratulate him
on placing first in the 2026 ABC National Craft Championships. Now, therefore,

House of Representatives

hat the members of the
South Carolina
House of Representatives
,
by this resolution, recognize and honor Jonathan C. Childers, a fourth-year
electrical apprentice with the Charleston Electrical Contractors Association
and congratulate him on receiving first place in the 2026 ABC National Craft
Championships.

e it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to Jonathan C. Childers.
