RESOLUTION

TO CELEBRATE THE BOILING SPRINGS
HIGH SCHOOL MALE AND FEMALE STRENGTH TEAMS FOR remarkable SEASONs AND TO SALUTE
THESE OUTSTANDING ATHLETES ON CAPTURING THEIR RESPECTIVE 2026 CLASS AAAAA STATE
CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES.

W
hereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to
learn that two Boiling Springs High School teams earned the coveted crown that
bespeaks the best of the best when both the male strength team and female
strength team walked away with the 2026 Class AAAAA state championship title
for their respective competitions. These were back-to-back wins for both teams,
and they also made it only the second time in SCHSSCA history that any school
had won the male and female events in the same year, their own 2025 wins
marking the first occurrence; and

W
hereas, for the 2026 title competition, individual male state
champion Kai Lee (150-pound class) rose above all the rest, and the male team
as a whole broke the state record for team point total with 63 points scored.
Further, the male team produced twelve All-State placers; and

W
hereas, adding shine to their own crown, the female team broke two
state records when Chloe Osteen turned in a bench score of 125 pounds and
Karina Tsisun made a broad jump of 94 inches. The Lady Bulldogs added their
share of All-State honors with a total of twelve placers; and

W
hereas, such victories do not come overnight; they take
determination and hard work. With proven consistency in both, Boiling Springs'
Head Coach Chancen Blackwood built his strength program into championship
caliber and forged a team that refused to settle for second best; and

W
hereas, the House of Representatives takes great pleasure in
saluting the fine athletes of the Boiling Springs strength teams, and the
members have confidence that the Bulldogs will continue to excel in the years
ahead. Let's go, Dawgs! Now, therefore,

B
e it resolved by the
House of
Representatives
:

T
hat the members of the South Carolina
House
of Representatives
, by this resolution, celebrate the Boiling Springs
High School male and female strength teams for remarkable seasons and salute
these outstanding athletes on capturing their respective 2026 Class AAAAA State
Championship titles.

B
e it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to
Principal Zachary McQuigg and Head Coach Chancen Blackwood of Boiling Springs
High School.
