RESOLUTION
TO HONOR THE SOUTH POINTE HIGH SCHOOL BOYS CROSS
COUNTRY TEAM FOR A SUPERB SEASON AND TO CONGRATULATE THE TEAM MEMBERS AND THEIR
COACHES ON WINNING THE 2025 CLASS AAAA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.
W
hereas, the 2025 South
Carolina High School League Class AAAA Cross Country Championships, held at the
Aiken Steeplechase course on November 14, 2025, saw thrilling team battles and
dominant individual performances, but the South Pointe boys cross country team,
much to the delight of their fans and the disappointment of their rivals,
topped all comers when the Stallions nailed the boys team championship crown;
and
W
hereas, in a
performance that enabled the Stallions to pack up hardware only champions get
to take home, South Pointe topped second-place Bishop England by three points
in a tight race; and
W
hereas, the Stallions'
team effort saw the seven South Pointe runners work together to secure the
narrow team victory over Bishop England. These top runners were Keller Brown (senior),
Evan Rybacki (senior), Felix Cassidy (senior), Jayden Finney (senior), Copeland
Crawford (sophomore), Tariku Thompson (senior), and Reece Adams (junior); and
W
hereas, further, South
Pointe's Keller Brown put on an impressive display of front-running dominance,
securing the Individual Class AAAA Boys State Championship. Brown crossed the
finish line with a winning time of 15:39.84, maintaining a comfortable lead
over the competition; and
W
hereas, having honed
their runners into a championship machine, Head Coach Trish Sacco and Assistant
Coaches Lawrence Lawson, Sidney Jenkins, and Chris Sacco saw the fruit of their
joint labors as the title trophy was hoisted; and
W
hereas, grateful for
their excellence, the House takes much pleasure in recognizing the South Pointe
High School boys cross country team, and the members look with interest to
learning of their future accomplishments. Go, Stallions! Now, therefore,
B
e it resolved by the
House of Representatives
:
T
