RESOLUTION
to recognize and honor the chapin high school girls
varsity dance team, coaches, and program for their outstanding achievements
during the 2025-2026 competitive season and for their continued legacy of
excellence.
W
hereas, the Chapin Girls
Dance Program, established in 2009 within Lexington-Richland School District
Five, has grown into a premier competitive organization comprised of varsity, junior
varsity, and middle school teams demonstrating a sustained commitment to
excellence through discipline, academic achievement, and community service; and
W
hereas, the program
has built a distinguished "Legacy of Champions," earning widespread recognition
for its dedication, sportsmanship, and high performance at both the state and
national levels; and
W
hereas, during the
extraordinary 2025-2026 competitive season, the program achieved unprecedented
success, securing multiple state championship titles at the South Carolina
Dance Association State Championship in February 2026; and
W
hereas, the Chapin
Varsity Dance team earned state championship titles in Pom, marking their fifth
consecutive state championship in the category, and also secured state championship
titles in Jazz, achieving the highest overall Varsity score, and in Lyrical;
and
W
hereas, the Chapin
Varsity Dance Team further distinguished itself on the national stage by
earning the title of 2026 National Champions in Hip Hop at the Contest of
Champions in March 2026; and
W
hereas, the Chapin
Girls Dance Program as a whole also celebrated additional state championship
titles during the 2025-2026 season, including Junior Varsity Pom and Middle
School Hip Hop, underscoring the program's depth, development, and continued
excellence at every level; and
W
hereas, the program
has achieved remarkable long-term success, including sixteen national championship
titles and sixteen state championship titles over the past five years; and
W
hereas, this
exceptional program is led by Head Coach Brittany Olecheck Orr, along with
dedicated assistant coaches Hayley Olecheck, Nicole Urbany, and Kim Langley,
whose leadership and mentorship have been instrumental in the program's
continued success; and
W
hereas, the
achievements of the Chapin Varsity Dance Team reflect great credit upon
themselves, their school, their coaches, and their community, serving as an
inspiration to students across the State of South Carolina. Now, therefore,

hat the members of the
South Carolina
House of Representatives
,
by this resolution, recognize and honor the Chapin High School girls varsity
dance team, coaches, and program for their outstanding achievements during the
2025-2026 competitive season and for their continued legacy of excellence.

e it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Chapin Girls Dance Team.
