RESOLUTION
To express profound sorrow upon the
passing of Tyler Christopher Vaught and to extend the deepest sympathy to his
large and loving family and his many friends.
W
hereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives
were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Tyler Christopher Vaught at the
age of twenty-one on March 30, 2026; and
W
hereas, born on November 30, 2004, in Columbia, Tyler was educated
in the Lexington-Richland School District Five system, attending Nursery Road
Elementary and Irmo Middle School, before moving to Westwood High School in
Blythewood, where he enjoyed playing the saxophone and participating in
football and rugby; and
W
hereas, known affectionately as "Cowboi T" or "Cowboy," Tyler was
admired for his generous spirit and willingness to serve, often lending a
helping hand to teachers and staff, assisting custodians, and supporting school
projects wherever needed; and
W
hereas, his dedication to the Westwood High School football program
endured even after his time on the field, as he remained a constant and
encouraging presence on the sidelines and in the locker room, offering his time
and energy in support of the team; and
W
hereas, exemplifying a true servant's heart, Tyler devoted himself
to helping others, assisting his mother with senior community events and
readily offering aid to neighbors, whether through yard work, home repairs, or
countless other acts of kindness; and
W
hereas, he possessed a remarkable ability with animals, particularly
dogs, demonstrating patience and skill in caring for them and earning their
trust with ease; and
W
hereas, Tyler was a proud co-owner and operator of Brothers-N-Lawn
Landscaping and More, working alongside his brother and business partner,
Jeremey, and taking great pride in building something meaningful through hard
work and dedication; and
W
hereas, an avid outdoorsman, Tyler found great joy in fishing and
hunting, and he delighted in sharing that passion with others, often providing
equipment and guidance to friends and peers, with one of his most cherished
memories being a full day spent fishing with his grandfather; and
W
hereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives
are deeply grateful for the life and legacy of Tyler Christopher Vaught and for
the enduring example of service, compassion, and kindness he set for all who
knew him. Tyler made a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of
crossing his path, and his memory will be cherished and his absence profoundly
felt by his parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and many dear
friends. Now, therefore,

, by this resolution, express profound sorrow upon the
passing of Tyler Christopher Vaught and extend the deepest sympathy to his
large and loving family and his many friends.

the family of Tyler Christopher Vaught.
